At What A Goal, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our customers and visitors to our website. In particular, we want you to know that whatagoal.co.uk is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. We just don’t do that sort of thing! In this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided lots of detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure, but we’ve tried to keep it easy to understand!

Cookies

Our websites use cookies to collect information. This includes information about browsing and usage behaviour by people who access our websites; information about pages viewed, activities undertaken and the customer journey around our websites. The only cookies used are those for Google Analytics. We do not gather any personal data through our use of cookies. By using our website you are giving your implicit consent to our use of cookies.

Social Media Pixels

We use tools known as pixels placed on our websites to track and better target our social media marketing. In most cases we are deemed the data provider and do not have access to the identities of those people’s data provided in this way. In these circumstances, the social media platform are deemed Data Controller and are responsible for the privacy of those individuals. We also use data collected from our customers for social media marketing. In these cases where we are deemed the Data Controller, we will not use personal details where the individual has told us that it is not ok to use their data for marketing purposes.

Customer Mailing Lists

As part of the registration/booking processes for our services, we collect personal information. We use that information to tell you about products and services that we believe will be of interest to you and to inform you of important service information. We may also contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information, to check our records are correct and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, Spawtz, to deliver communications via email and sms. We gather statistics around email/sms opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our communications. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer at info@whatagoal.co.uk.

Whatsapp & Messaging Platforms

We use Whatsapp and other messaging platforms to provide information to existing customers about the services they use via Broadcast Lists. Customers must opt-in to this service and may opt-out at any point. Whatsapp is an encrypted service and all messages are deemed secure.

Third Parties

What A Goal may share anonymised personal information with other organisations, particularly sports National Governing Bodies “NGBs” such as England Netball, The Football Association and England Cricket Board, who use this to analyse our development programmes, national participation levels and self-generated funding to understand the impact of the public investment made in those NGBs.

Photographic Images

What A Goal may from time to time take photographic images and video for use on social media pages and our website. Explicit consent will be obtained in advance of any session involving minors. 

Access to Your Personal Information

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold as long as it is not required by us in order to run our business. Email your request to our data protection officer, info@whatagoal.co.uk.

We will review this policy and in line with legislation. The current policy is effective as of 01/10/2021 and is compliant with GDPR 2018.
